God has created us with a body, mind, soul, and emotions and each of these aspects of our person must be nurtured and cared for. If any area is neglected or wounded, the whole person is affected.
At Empowered for Joy, we seek to address the whole person, exploring the past as it continues to impact today's ability to function in a healthy, joyful way. We examine topics such as triggers for anxiety, negative thought patterns, compulsive behaviors, grief processes, as well as topics such as values and purpose, healthy boundaries, love languages, relationship enhancers, and self care patterns.
The counseling framework used at Empowered For Joy includes interventions and teachings from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EFT (tapping) and more.
